Twice a year us fashion loving lunatics decide that dropping everything to run around London in the most ridiculous of shoes, on next to no sleep is our idea of fun. Crazy huh?! So this month, instead of a normal What’s in My Handbag post, I thought I’d show you guys a little look into my Fashion Week Handbag.
First up is my diary – I can’t do Fashion Week without it. It has all of my invites, show times and schedules so that I know exactly where I need to be and when. Then there’s my notebook, call me old-fashioned but I find it’s the best way to scrawl down notes from all of the shows, without it I’d be lost. Next up is my trusty iPhone - a Fashion Week goer’s best friend! My phone comes into it’s own during fashion week; a handy digital show schedule, tube map, camera and most importantly access to all things social media so that I can share LFW with you lovely lot. With that also comes my phone charger; I generally take a phone charger everywhere I go anyway, but with the amount I use my phone during Fashion Week it’s suicide to leave the house without it.

Next up, Sunglasses – I know what you’re thinking, it's more likely to be snowing than sunny. Agreed, but these are for the early starts and dark circles. Another secret for hiding tired eyes is MAC Studio Finish Concealer, a heavy-duty concealer that quite literally covers anything. Alongside that are painkillers, ever the optimist I know, but these are a necessity for what I like to call Fashion Week Flu; a sore head, and even sorer feet.
I like to keep my make-up looking fresh, which is difficult after a long day in the city. I rely on my Smashbox Halo Highlighting Wand to add a natural glow to my cheeks and MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick to keep my pout perfected during the day. I'm loving nude nails this season, so I've opted Models Own Bare Beauty nail polish, with Models Own Champagne for when I want to add a little bit of sparkle.
Throw in a tube of Soap & Glory Hand Maid Anti-Bacterial Gel, your Starbucks loyalty card and your LFW exhibition pass and you're all set!
Lovely post! I've been tempted by Ruby Woo so many times, what colour would you say would suit fair but freckly skin?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blog, glad I followed :)

Thanks Daisy! It's a really gorgeous lipstick! I love a real deep red on fair skin, but it's all about preference.
DeleteIf you're not too sure maybe start with a bright pink as I find pinks generally suit those with fairer complexions, particularly with Spring on it's way. I think the key to any lipstick is having the confidence to wear it well! X
Lovely post and very practical items. Enjoy LFW! X
