It hit me last week that London Fashion Week is just around the corner and I’ve done next to no prep whatsoever, so I spent the early part of this week planning various potential LFW ensembles. Pulling together outfits is something I’ve always loved doing, ever since I was little. It’s even more exciting when it’s for London Fashion Week - Alas, if you can’t be fabulous then, when can you be?
Inspired by one of my favourite nineties movie classics ‘Clueless’, I dug out my H&M plaid mini skirt. I’d been looking for a tartan skirt for weeks when it suddenly dawned on me that I bought something similar a few years ago. After rummaging around in my wardrobe I was pleasantly surprised to find it was in immaculate condition and still fit perfectly. Opting for a 90’s vibe I paired it with my new Motel Lyndie Turtleneck Crop Top and Topshop Crop Collarless Blazer. As ever when it comes to my wardrobe, simplicity is key so this statement skirt needed minimal styling. Cue my suede Topshop Lace Up Wedges and Miss Selfridge Leather and Lace Satchel, the perfect accessories to retain that playful schoolgirl look that the plaid mini skirt so beautifully conjures.
Armed with my notebook, iPhone and trusty Mac Ruby Woo lipstick, I’ll be ready to go!
Love this outfit, the skirt is so nice and I love your red lip with it!

This is such a wonderful outfit - you really do have to keep everything plain when you've got a tartain skirt, otherwise it can be a bit overwhelming!
